Think of Transportation Before Deer Season Arrives

By ZZ Troutski

Even though the camo is laundered and stored, and the firearms and tree stands have been cleaned and put away, time does fly. Soon deer season will come around again, so selecting the tools you need ahead of time is always a good thing.

The Game Sled by Hunting’s a Drag, Inc. is the product everyone is talking about. This is the essential piece of equipment that all hunters need in their arsenal when it comes to finding a way to transport that trophy buck out of the woods. Not only PIC_0175is the Game Sled product line the perfect way to take the burden of lifting and dragging the deer off the hunter’s muscles, but it’s also the only way to keep the surrounding habitat undamaged and the hair of the deer in pristine shape.

The most common way to move a deer in the past has been grabbing onto an antler and pulling. However, this is not the innovative way, nor is it the right way. Some have even attached a deer to an electric wheelchair, while others who capture their prey in a remote area choose to drag the deer into a canoe and head downstream. However, when reaching land, the dragging once again resumes.

Long ago pack mules were the only transport when it came to hauling a deer from the woods to the taxidermist; yet now with ATV’s and motorcycles many have been creating odd (not to mention expensive) ways to transport prey.

Hunters will swear by a truck or an ATV being the easiest and fastest way to transport deer. However, getting the deer to the ATV or truck is not exactly an easy system. Many woodland areas will actually be ruined by a truck or ATV plowing through it, and the strain that’s put on a hunter’s muscles and joints by lifting and dragging the deer to the waiting vehicle is extremely painful.

Hunting’s a Drag, Inc. has solved these issues with the Game Sled; not to mention the added accessories they sell. The Cinch-N-Carry strap is used to secure the closed Game Sled or Game Gurney. The hunter then uses the handle to carry, or slip around their waist. Simple, convenient, effective – the strap also offers reflective tabs for easy visibility and safety.

In addition, the Game Sled Series Sling is an invaluable asset when packing quartered game, performing a camp move and securing equipment, or simply to add a layer of non-slip security to the sled while dragging out game.

These accessories perfectly fit the needs of the hunter. No longer do they have to worry about strain, even when hunting solo. No longer does the deer have to be dragged over obstacles that will catch it, and rub the deer hair bare to the hide.

Weighing only six pounds, the Game Sled can handle game up to 400 pounds. By using the handles provided, or a tree stand safety belt harness, the Game Sled makes sure that the hunter does not have to waste time getting the game out of the woods and into the truck or ATV.

Hauling a deer is strenuous. Hunters invest not only money in their equipment, but also time and aggravation into the hunt itself. Physical exertion can put heavy demands on the muscles and the heart, so being able to transport that game easily is a must.

So before you become the pack mule, make sure that the Game Sled is the transportation tool you purchase. That way, when deer season opens, you are absolutely ready to go!
