The Value of Trust in Business

 

As you head to the Word Wide Web and enter the search keyword, ‘franchises,’ there are literally hundreds of thousands of books, reports and articles that have been written regarding franchisors, franchisees, as well as the trends within the franchise industry.

Throughout the Internet, the entire public – including those entrepreneurs out there who are searching for the right business opportunity to become a part of – are provided with topics that range from how to start up a new franchise to buying into the right one, and basically any other question you need to ask. And the name BAM Brands will also come up quite a bit when speaking about the ‘positive’ impact that ‘excellent’ franchises have on every community they appear in.

There are many categories that must be in place in order to ensure success – trust being one of the largest. Now this does not just mean trust between the owner of a company and the paying customer – it also means absolute trust formed between the franchisor and their franchisee. Yes…numbers are important. Having a good number of units operating across the nation is very important. Even though number of units is a great thing to have, if the franchisor has a plan or strategy in place that’s no good at least half of these units will close in less than two years. If that occurs, you as the ‘new’ entrepreneur become caught in a situation you really don’t want to be stuck in.

As with any company – small to medium-sized businesses – there are actual ‘building blocks’ to making them a roaring success. And as the franchisee, you should know ahead of time if your franchisor knows what all of these ‘important issues’ are – and what they have done to succeed in every area.

The system of the franchisor must be a success – from operation to financial – and must provide franchisees a truly amazing opportunity. If the franchisees follow the program, and use those innovative ideas that have proven to be successful in other states, they will see their ROI grow. If the franchise program isn’t well put together, then a franchisor must work to adjust the program that isn’t working. If certain products or services are not successful, then a franchisor must find alternatives and build a better line.

In the end, profits come from the fact that the customer is ‘pleased,’ so educating the staff and making sure to stick to helping clients are priorities.

 

As with social media, a franchisor must also make sure that testimonials, reviews – all of the details of the company are given to prospective franchisees so they understand the entire franchise opportunity.

The franchisor and their team needs to be a ‘help’ to the franchisee and not a hindrance. There is no ‘whip cracking’ involved to become a success, but the leadership must be there in order for the operations to run smoothly. But when speaking about ‘whip cracking,’ what that means is that all franchisees have to be able to input their ideas and updates when it comes to their store, marketing, advertising – etc. And these ideas should always be taken into account in order to make sure that the franchisor and the franchisee has a fantastic working relationship. Believe it or not, a bad one can actually be ‘felt’ by any and all paying customers that walk through your door.

Another point that BAM Brands knows and knows well is the fact that all new products and services must be tested and evaluated before introducing any into their program. In addition, testing new equipment or products within the franchisee locations are a must.

Trust, loyalty and integrity are the biggest areas of a profitable business. A franchisor like BAM Brands works everyday to make sure that their integrity is upheld by honoring both their clients and franchisees. Franchisees, however, have to make sure they do their part in holding up that integrity by providing their customers products, equipment, services and more that is consistent and highly respected by consumers.

Training and support for your franchisee employees is also extremely important and must be consistent – from opening the franchise to building the employees, as well as to customer satisfaction.
