The #CES show in #Vegas

The #CES show in #Vegas

I’m Will Roberts, and this is the Daily Scream here we go! Ahhhh!

Well, today I’m visiting the CES, the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. And walking around this absolutely humongous structure with all this technology, I’ll be honest, I’m a little creeped out.

Mainly on account of the fact that everything is so small at this show. Everything is the size of a quarter, from cameras to drones and I’m sure if I try hard enough I would’ve find a chip to put in my head.

Now word has it that they’re changing the name of this show to Consumer Technology Show.  But if you ask me it should be called, the creepy technology show.

The theme this year seem to be the Virtual Reality with droves of people wearing goggles and headsets and staring off into space with sudden jerky movements, and a total disconnect with the real world,  kind a like when people are on their phones all the time.  And people were into it here at the show. lots of shallow breathing and general excitement was surrounding all this technology.  Overall it looks as though the people with the products are really pushing you get more for less or is it the other way around, you get less from more.

But the most amazing thing and the entertaining thing was not in the show itself, no it was actually what was happening around the building outside.  The parking cost $40 and that was for as far away as the eye could see. You could not park anywhere near this convention center without paying top dollar.  But the funny part was watching all of those men in suits walking for miles and miles to get to the show, nothing more entertaining than that. I’ve never seen so many sweaty sales people and exhausted executives in my life … good to see them finally working.
