Back from Mumbai India & surprise surprise, they like Americans!

I am Will Roberts, and this is the daily scream .. Ahhh here we go.

Well I’m back from India it was a Long trip, and I am glad to back on American soil. And I have to tell you that after being in India for that long our soil is probably the cleanest soil I’ve seen in 15 days.

But don’t get me wrong, the folks in India are quite nice people. I spend some time walking around in different places of Mumbai and saw some of the poorest people I’ve ever seen in my entire life. However, the oddest thing was, they seem to be the happiest people I’ve ever seen.

Based upon everything that I experienced, it appeared to me that the people should be pretty upset, but they’re not. You know that movie Slumdog Millionaire, I’m convinced that’s not really a movie, it’s a reality show. From the cars and the non-stop honking of horns to the smell of the Burning rubbish, wood, oil, and anything else that would burn.

It truly seems in some places on Mumbai like the set of an Armageddon film. But again, these folks are the kindest, nicest people I’ve ever met. Now, here is the most baffling part. When I walked around, folks would stare at me, stop me, shake my hand, take pictures with me, in short they love Americans. I guess that’s the beauty of being poor, you can’t afford a newspaper to read about what the rest of the world is like.

Your friend,

Will Roberts
